Arthritis
A joint is the area where two bones meet. Arthritis is a condition that causes inflammation of one or more joints. It may occur in both men and women. There are over 100 different types of Arthritis.
The cartilage normally protects a joint and Arthritis causes the breakdown of the cartilage. Symptoms
Arthritis causes joint pain, swelling, stiffness and limits your movement. Symptoms can include:
- Joint pain and swelling
- Limited ability to move the joint
- Stiffness, mostly in the morning
- Redness of the skin around a joint
- Warmth around a joint
